Organizations: how to join IHEU

Member Organizations keep the democratic structure of IHEU alive. All IHEU member organizations accept IHEU’s purpose and definition of Humanism as set out in the IHEU Bylaws as the common minimum base.

IHEU keeps in contact with its member organisations through the Internet, International Humanist News and e-mail and collaborates with its member organisations where possible. Only Member Organizations can vote at the General Assembly, IHEU's policy-making body, and elect the Executive Committee.

To apply, first read "How to apply for membership of IHEU"(download the file below). Then you can either complete the application electronically (requires Microsoft Word, the preferred method) or complete it manually by downloading and printing a PDF file (only if you do not have access to Microsoft Word). Both forms are available for download below. Please note: Microsoft Works is not compatible with the Word version of this form: if you do not have access to Microsoft Word, please use the PDF version. You can save the electronic form as a Word document and email it to us - this is quickest and the preferred method. If you do not have access to Word, you can print the PDF file, complete it and fax it to us, scan it and email it to us, or send it to us by airmail.
